Are you your hair loss enemy? Its unfortunate but often we are the authors of our own horror stories, and that applies to hair loss, too! Sadly enough, when it comes to losing hair, it can (secretly) be your fault.
One of the worst things you can do to your hair and scalp is to sleep on wet hair. This is for so many reasons!

Cold, wet hair on a warm scalp is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Bacteria growth can lead to mold growth, dry scalp, and more.
This bacteria growth can hurt your scalp's perfect microbiome, and be the first step to your hair loss.
Sleeping on wet hair, though it may be dry when you wake up, will cause flat hair, lack of any volume.
Damp hair during bedtime will also cause matting in hair extensions, and premature shedding from any hair systems/hair replacement.
Hair is weakest when it is wet, and the friction from sleeping on wet hair is an easy cause of breakage. This can make it look like your hair shed cycle is much shorter than it is, and weaken your hair overnight. (Literally!)
If I haven't yet convinced you to stop sleeping with wet hair, there's a small thing you can at least do to help yourself: dry your roots with a blow dryer for 5 minutes before bed.
However, with hair extensions and any hair replacement items, you must ALWAYS dry your hair fully before bed. If you have a proclivity to leave your hair wet for sleepy time, make sure you are honest with your stylist before getting any hair enhancements.
