There's many an option of medical hair loss solutions that can be administered by doctors and nurse practitioners, and in this list we will share a few with you. Here they are listed in order of least invasive to most.
Topical minoxidil - also known as rogaine, can increase the follicle size to be more robust and encourage girthier growth
Alma TED - needle free frequencies to increase hair growth and density
Oral minoxidil - increases follicle size to be more robust and encourages growth. Can make peach-fuzz into more permanent, terminal hair. (Also can cause hair growth in other areas)
Spironolactone - blocks androgens (male hormones) that can cause female pattern baldness, does not cause hair growth in other areas outside of the top of head.
PRP injections - plasma from your own body is transfused and injected into your scalp, encouraging new growth.
Hair transplant - hair is taken from one part of your body and surgically installed into another spot needing hair. This is the most invasive and is a long process.
As always, it is best to consult with your primary care doctor for potential underlying causes before proceeding with any medical hair interventions. Please note this is a nonexhaustive list that can be modified and added to at any time.
